I like the softness of the evening light, the way it evenly spreads on the surface and warms it up. The contrast is lower so the shadows are less distinct and violent than during the daytime.
Recently I’ve taken these pictures walking around Paris. The first one was taken at Place Vendôme. I wanted to get the building lit with evening light but as a result I have a man crossing the road with a red scarf and also the shadow of the Column Vendôme, which is discreetly hiding on the left side. I like the way people accidentaly appear on my pictures, they bring movement and life. On the second one you can see the column itself, proudly dominating its territory. The third shot was taken on another day. Michael said that it looked like a gentleman who lifted up his hat to greet somebody. I like this interpretation)) May be you see something else?
